"📍 Location and First Impressions
The hotel is conveniently located in the bustling Jing'an district, surrounded by plenty of dining, entertainment, and shopping options, with easy access to transportation. The lobby is bright and clean, without overly extravagant decor, giving off a refined and understated vibe. The front desk staff were efficient with check-in and very friendly.
🏨 Pleasant Surprise: Free Room Upgrade
The biggest surprise of this stay was the room upgrade from the front desk! Upon entering, the room was very spacious, decorated in a modern minimalist style, clean, tidy, and without any odd smells. The bedding was soft and comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep until morning. While the city view from the window wasn't spectacular, it did add a sense of openness to the room. The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, good water pressure, and hot water came quickly. The quality of the amenities was also quite good.
🍽️ Breakfast Experience: A Refined Semi-Buffet Choice
I really liked that the hotel's breakfast was a 'semi-buffet' style. The buffet area offered fresh bread, salads, fruits, beverages, and cereals, all of good quality. The main dishes, however, were made to order, and the presentation and taste exceeded my expectations for hotel breakfast. This setup was very thoughtful, allowing guests to choose what they like while ensuring hot food is served fresh.
⚠️ Minor Flaw: Screen Casting Needs Improvement
As someone who wanted to relax and watch shows in the evening, I spent some time figuring out how to connect my phone for screen casting. The process wasn't smooth, and although I eventually succeeded, constant pop-ups to upgrade to a casting membership ruined the experience!"

"The front desk service was excellent! The location is superb, just across the street from Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street and very close to the Bund. This trip, I brought my family and booked three rooms, including a suite for my parents. The view from the suite's window was great, overlooking Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street and even a glimpse of the 'three-piece suit' (referring to the iconic Lujiazui skyline)! The room facilities were good, and we received complimentary welcome fruit upon check-in. Breakfast was decent too! Overall, it was a very pleasant stay!"

"Initially our choice of hotel was pearl hotel, however we decided to change our hotel to dorsett. This is a gem location for a Muslim family/travellers to look into. The hotel is just located next to the metro and family mart (directly back door access) also walking distance up to 3 halal food found! Refer to photo for reference (we only manage to dine in two halal food nearby hotel). We booked a deluxe Parkview room for the bathtub choice, however photo in trip.com even after I made a call prior to the hotel it has a bathtub but during check in there isn't. Long story short, reception offered an upgrade to the studio room which is bigger in size and bathtub for kiddos! Appreciate the swift response! This hotel offered 24/7 laundry + dryer services FOC! 😉"

"The Staff Are absolutely fabulous - I don’t speak any Chinese but everyone I spoke to had translation apps and were more than willing to help out. I was able to check in early and check out late at no charge and the 8th floor is a large comfortable lounge space where I was able to wait before my check in time as I had an early flight in and I am currently there again waiting for my flight out. The location is ideal being a 10 minute walk from Qufu station on line 8 and a 10 minute walk from another station on line 1. The room was excellent I had plenty of space, one of the largest beds I’ve ever had and an absolutely stunning view from the window. Everywhere was clean and tidy and I was provided with water everyday as well as someone to clean the room. The air conditioner works great which was needed as it’s been a consistent 35° throughout my trip. I’ve loved Shanghai and having somewhere safe and well connected has definitely played a part in it - I will 100% be staying here again when I visit Shanghai again in the future. Thank you to all of the team here."

"The hotel is absolutely good. I went to this hotel many time and I decided to come back to this hotel because I know that I can find a very good person here. Mr Albert is very professional, friendly, well care you and let feel you at home.
Hotel is very close to Jing-an temple, 50 mts form exit nr1 of the metro station.
Breakfast is very good.
I feel well here and I can be sure that all the staff is absolutely helpful, kind and professional.

"This is our second stay at Legoland, and it's truly perfect for families with kids. The beds in the rooms are very large; we had four adults and one child, so we booked two connecting rooms, which was incredibly convenient and felt like having a suite.
Staying at the hotel, you can buy a half-day pass. It was enough for our three-year-old to play around, watch the fireworks, and take some photos. Neither the adults nor the child got too tired. The only downside was that the complimentary early access for the second day went to waste.
Legoland's service, cleanliness, and facilities are consistently excellent, especially the safe activities, including birthday benefits. The kids had a fantastic time playing and staying here.
The only issue I found was that the baggage service was a bit slow. When we checked out, we requested a luggage cart to pick up our bags, but after waiting in the room for a long time, no one came. And there was no service when we left, which felt a bit anticlimactic.
Everything else was very satisfactory; it's genuinely great for families, and the children's toilet seat was a nice touch too."

"This hotel has some strong positives, but one critical negative ruined my stay.
The Good: The breakfast is fantastic—delicious and high quality. Also, the floor manager who assisted me on my second night was professional and empathetic, doing everything in his power to find a solution.
The Bad: The air conditioning on the 8th floor is broken. It was fixed at 28°C in heating mode for my entire stay from Nov 25-27. This made the room unlivably hot, and despite the staff's best efforts (they provided a fan and tried to find another room), I endured two very uncomfortable nights.
Until the hotel fixes the central AC system on that floor, I would be cautious about staying here."

"It's my child's birthday again. We brought the kids back to Disneyland. It was still magical, and the service was excellent as always. We bought tickets late because it was the Halloween event, and all the tickets on major platforms were sold out. However, hotel guests could buy tickets at any time, and thanks to this perk, we managed to get ours. We booked a room with a cupboard, but couldn't get the LinaBell themed one this time. The room was spacious enough, and the service was prompt; most of our requests were met. We have two children, so we asked for an extra set of complimentary cups and towels. You can watch the fireworks from the 9th floor, and it even comes with music. On the first night, you can watch the fireworks from the hotel, and then the next day from the park for a different experience. We didn't book breakfast this time. We entered the park an hour early and re-rode many attractions, which was great. The only downside was that dining in the park was a bit difficult, as many restaurants didn't open until 10:30 AM. Previously, when we booked breakfast, the park was already crowded by the time we finished eating and entered. I left my headphones at the hotel, and they helped mail them back via SF Express, paid on delivery, which was very thoughtful."

"Nice and clean hotel. Just that the location not so convenient, taxi cant stop infront of the hotel lobby, hv to stop at the roadside near main entrance. Thank to Ms. Yang who help us with the luggage from the road side till send up to room, and send my parcels to room also. She is friendly and helpful."

One of the staff specially took us to explore the different types of room so we can decide which room type to take which we really appreciate!! The location is so accessible!!We can reach the main tourist attractions like Xintiandi, Yuyuan and Nanjing road within 10 mins by their cab Didi and costs less than USD$3 only and the pick up and drop off point is just in front of the hotel which is so easy for us!!They even offer free popcorn and drinks and amenities like travel sunblock cream, soap, floss, body cream throughout our stay!!All of the staff were exceptionally warm, attentive, and professional — always greeting us with genuine smiles and going out of their way to make sure we were comfortable such as helping us to book ******* delivery and helping us to collect our taobao parcels.
Our room was spotless clean, beautifully maintained, and thoughtfully prepared such as the toilet seat with a warm function. Every detail, from the amenities to the housekeeping, reflected the hotel’s high standards and care for guests.
Special mention to the front desk team— their friendliness and helpful recommendations truly made our stay even more enjoyable.

MMccaBWe made a one-night stop here on our 10-day trip, after exploring Hangzhou and Suzhou - and we were revisiting, having already enjoyed four lovely nights here earlier. The stay was pleasant and comfortable, with a appreciated free shuttle service to nearby spots. But the highlight was the complimentary supper every night after 9pm - delicious wonton, noodles, and rice noodles! The staff were friendly, polite, and courteous throughout, making our stay even more wonderful!

GGuest UserThe room was more spacious than I'd imagined, and the view from the window was quite nice, with Jing'an Temple visible in the distance. The walk-through area in the room was just wide enough to open a suitcase, leaving little extra space, but it was perfectly fine for a solo trip.
Soundproofing in the room wasn't great; noises from outside the door were quite clear (though this is a common drawback of hostels). This might be an issue for light sleepers.
Transportation is incredibly convenient, as it's only about a three-minute walk from the subway station, which really helps save on travel expenses.
**Cleanliness:** The shared bathrooms were exceptionally clean; an attendant would clean them immediately after each use, which was very reassuring.
**Service:** Upon arrival, a staff member showed me to my room and introduced the facilities. The lobby offered quite a few amenities; I recall there was an ice machine, and I even borrowed an umbrella from the front desk when it rained during my stay.
Overall, I was very satisfied and would happily choose to stay here again on my next visit to Shanghai.

The location is very convenient too. Right in the city center and easy to call didi as well as metro which is right across. The bicycles are parked right in front as well so you can rent them.
Free water and snacks are given everyday too. Will definitely recommend this place if you were to stay in Shanghai.

BBoluomamizhenniWe chose The Ritz-Carlton to celebrate our tenth wedding anniversary and were thoroughly impressed with everything. Although the hotel is a bit older, the facilities are very well maintained. We booked a Pearl Room, and the front desk assigned us a fantastic room with a direct view of the Oriental Pearl Tower – it was incredible to see it so up close! The location is also superb, right in the heart of Lujiazui, with convenient access to IFC for dining and shopping downstairs. The soundproofing in the room was excellent, ensuring a wonderfully peaceful night's sleep.
Upon checking in, we mentioned it was our anniversary. Later that evening, we found a lovely small setup in our room, along with a complimentary cake and champagne – a very thoughtful gesture! A special thank you to Jessi from Guest Services for taking such great care of our child, even preparing drawing paper and kid's amenities. After dinner, our child enjoyed a swim in the pool, while we adults relaxed with drinks at Flair in the evening.
Furthermore, while the breakfast didn't offer the widest variety I've ever seen, it was by far the most exquisite. They even peeled and sliced pomelo and oranges for you – who does that?! You absolutely must try the potstickers; they're so juicy! There was a foreign female manager who was constantly attending to guests during breakfast, proactively asking about the food and helping clear plates. All the staff had smiles on their faces – I truly loved it!

The hotel's location is incredibly convenient. There's a subway station right nearby, and downstairs is a bustling shopping street with tons of malls. Even though it's a commercial area, the mix of international architectural styles gives it a unique vibe. I spent an entire afternoon wandering among these buildings, feeling like I was traveling through different times and dimensions. It was like experiencing multiple worlds in one afternoon.
From there, it was just a few minutes' walk to the Bund, connecting with the Oriental Pearl Tower. Even in the heart of the city, I felt a refreshing sense of being bathed in a forest, perhaps because of the evening breeze, the Huangpu River, or the iconic Oriental Pearl itself. Anyway, I was so pleased with the journey this hotel enabled.
When I got tired, it was just a few minutes back to the hotel to rest before heading out for some night sightseeing. So, staying at this hotel was a surprisingly rewarding experience.

GGuest UserI stayed at Guisu Hotel in Caishouli. It is a newly fixed-up old Shanghai Shikumen house. The room was very nice and clean. The kitchen and bathroom were useful and had a washing machine. There was also a small yard. It was easy to walk to the subway station and to Huaihai Road for shopping. It is a quiet place in the busy city. If you want to try a real Shanghai Shikumen style house, staying here is much better and cheaper than a hotel. The front door has a code lock. I did everything myself from check-in to leaving. No one bothered me. I liked it a lot.
